As part of the "Presidential Inaugural Series" celebrating the beginning of Dr. Pamela Eibeck's presidency, the Center for Social and Emotional Competence, the Division of Student Life, Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Gladys L. Benerd School of Education, School of Engineering and Computer Science, and the Pacific Alumni Association present the Presidential Symposium on Social and Emotional Competence in Higher Education at Pacific.
Local and international experts highlight a daylong symposium showcasing best practices in student competence development. This symposium is part of Pacific's culture and commitment to whole-person education and its mission to prepare students for responsible leadership in their careers and communities.
Featured Keynote Speakers: Richard Boyatzis, competence guru and author of "Resonant Leadership," "Primal Leadership," and "The Competent Manager."
Daniel Goleman, a Stockton native, author of "Ecological Intelligence," "Social Intelligence," and "Emotional Intelligence."
